This move will effectively force larger refineries not currently granted waivers to increase how much ethanol they blend into gasoline, effectively increasing the supply of ethanol-mixed fuel in the market. This comes after the Trump administration’s May 31 announcement to expand the sale of E15 fuel year-round.
