Bonnier Establishes Marine Division to Fully Integrate Around Enthusiast Communities

February 10, 2023 — WINTER PARK, FL — As part of a company-wide restructure announced this week, Bonnier has established a new Marine Division to fully integrate the media and events properties within its fishing, boating and sailing portfolio. The Marine division will include print, digital and broadcast assets as well as the company’s fishing tournaments, expeditions and sailing regattas.

Led by Executive Vice President Glenn Sandridge, the Division will be structured with five groups, each of which is designed to pursue growth within distinct enthusiast communities: the Sport Fishing Group, Marlin Group, Boating Group, Yachting & Sailing Group, and Travel Group.

“The key to our future growth lies in advancing the way we serve and market our passionate and affluent communities,” CEO David Ritchie said. “To become the leading outdoor adventure company, we have to fuel the passion of our enthusiasts across various channels, whether that’s through content, tournaments, expeditions, regattas or educational seminars. Today we are putting the structure in place to fully realize that vision and accelerate our growth.”

As part of the restructure, several team members will be taking on additional responsibilities.

Scott Salyers, group publisher for Bonnier’s fishing titles, will continue to contribute to strategic direction while also taking on a new Managing Director role for the Sport Fishing Group, which includes revenue responsibility for Salt Water Sportsman, Sport Fishing, and the award-winning television show, SFTV. In this role, Salyers will pursue growth through expansion in education, television, video, seminars and other activities.

Natasha Lloyd, publisher of Marlin magazine for the past 16 years, will step into the Managing Director role for the Marlin Group, which includes the magazine and its associated digital/social properties, as well as Bonnier’s four international billfish tournaments and Marlin Expeditions, a global lineup of big-game fishing adventures.

Supporting Lloyd in this new role is Jennifer Dudas, recently appointed as Tournament and Expeditions Director. For the past four years, Dudas has supported Bonnier’s fishing tournament and expeditions activities in an associate role, and before joining Bonnier, she served as tournament director for the Bahamas Billfish Championship for 24 years.

David Carr, publisher of Yachting since 2016, will serve as Managing Director for the Yachting & Sailing Group, ensuring the smooth integration of the Helly Hansen Sailing World Regatta Series alongside its Yachting, Cruising World and Sailing World brands. Led by Sarah Renz, the Sailing World Regatta Series is the nation’s most popular weekend racing series.

Franki Giordano, marketing manager since 2018 with experience across the company’s entire portfolio and currently Marketing Director for Fish, Boating and Watersports, will expand her role and oversee the entire Marine Division’s marketing strategy and staff.

Sandridge will serve as Managing Director for the Boating and Travel groups.

“We are tremendously excited about empowering this team of proven professionals,” Sandridge said. “Their collective industry experience and passion for what we do is unparalleled in the market today.”
