Minneapolis, MN — Aug. 3, 2026 — The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) announces that Carly Poole — longtime dealership operator, Certified Dealer and MRAA Board Member — has joined the organization as an Education & Dealer Enablement Consultant, beginning a new chapter in a long-standing and impactful relationship with the association.
After years of leadership and service on the MRAA Board of Directors, Poole transitions into this role with a deep understanding of the organization and a passion for advancing the success of marine dealers. MRAA is contracting her company, True North Business Consulting, with Poole serving as the primary lead.
“Carly has been an integral part of MRAA’s journey for many years and she understands both where we’ve been and where we’re going,” said Matt Gruhn, President of MRAA. “She brings an exceptional combination of dealership experience, leadership and perspective. Just as importantly, she cares deeply about our members and this industry. We’re excited to continue working alongside her in this new capacity.”
Addressing Certification & Member Needs
In her role, Poole will focus on strengthening MRAA’s Certification programs — one of the association’s most critical education initiatives. She will also collaborate with MRAA’s Education Team and strategic partners to enhance learning design, practical application and member impact — ensuring that member needs, opportunities and success are kept front and center.
“While my time serving on the Board has come to a close, my relationship with MRAA is far from ending — it’s evolving,” said Poole, who began the new consulting role on June 15, 2026. “I’m excited to contribute in a new way, working alongside the team to support dealers and continue advancing the industry.”
Poole brings extensive experience in marine retail operations, staff development and business leadership, along with a growing consulting practice focused on practical, real-world outcomes for dealerships.
