The National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) and National Water Safety Congress (NWSC) are excited to introduce a new web site, www.IBWSS.org, for the 2013 International Boating and Water Safety Summit (IBWSS) being held at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX. IBWSS.org will offer options including online registration and the ability to download Summit information. The 2013 IBWSS, being held March 24-27, 2013, is the premier boating and water safety education and training conference. The Summit serves as the national forum to assist in implementing the Strategic Plan of the National Recreational Boating Safety Program. IBWSS is a joint venture between the NSBC and NWSC with additional support produced under a grant from the Sports Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, administered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The new website will streamline information and resources on one user-friendly platform for IBWSS attendees, presenters, and exhibitors. “We’re excited to offer this web site to make the pre-Summit process easier as well as being able to provide essential information on programs, technology and training during and after the event,” remarks Virgil Chambers, executive director of the National Safe Boating Council. “It takes the Summit into the realm of a year-round experience to be accessed by many not able to attend.” “This innovative new process, for all of us with IBWSS, will allow our returning and potential attendees to make their plans to join us even earlier than in the past,” said Cecilia Duer, executive director of the National Water Safety Congress. “The web site will also provide a great resource, which can be easily passed on to others, through all electronic and social media. We are looking forward to a great IBWSS in San Antonio 2013.” |
